Check out my FunPix!

Check out my Slide Show!

The Rexburg Temple Open House began and the end of December 2007. Our whole family was able to attend the Open House tour together. 10 adults and 3 children. Brooklyn was in awe starting with the video. "Ooooh" she gasped, "It's the biggest temple I ever saw"...

We are grateful for the temple and the power that the ordinances performed in the temple have to promise that Families Can be Forever. The Rexburg Temple is beautiful and we are so grateful to have it in our little city.

OK. I know we were spoiled. We took another fun family trip in October. This one was to St. George, Utah. Rex was able to play basketball in the Huntsman Senior World Games. We rented a 3 bedroom condo and our married kids (and the grandkids!) and my parents were able to come and spend almost a whole week together. We had a pool, a hot tub, tennis courts, basketball games to watch and the beautiful red rocks of southern Utah to play in. It was so much fun that we want to try and make it a tradition.

Brooklyn came to stay with Grandpa and Grandma for a whole week all by herself while her Mom and Austin flew to Ohio to visit her good friend, Kelly. Ben flew to Amsterdam for his work the same week. It was so fun to play with Brooklyn everyday. She is such a tease. In this picture, Brooklyn has a water gun and she pointed it at Grandma and said..... " you'd better run".

I feel like we were spoiled this summer but we took another trip to one of our favorite places in the world.... Lake Powell. We went with most of our Lyons Family and it was a great trip (hold the cockroaches...) .

Spokane, Washington was another fun summer trip we were able to take. We got to see Carly and Jimmy's house that they fixed up so classy! Spokane is a beautiful place and we had a lot of fun with the Dunns.

Of course, all the beautiful sights were nothing compared to us getting to spend time with our little granddaughter Hallie. She is delightful!

How can Disney World and a trip to Florida not be a highlight? Well it was. It was a lot of fun to go somewhere we had never been. We enjoyed a little time with our last 2 teenagers away from the pull of friends and work. We only wish that all the kids could have been with us. We hope to plan a trip like that in the near future.

Treagan's Graduation from Madison High School was another highlight (other than the fact that we wished he could stay in high school forever and stay our little boy!). Treagan also finished his eagle project just in time. That makes his Mom happy to be the Mother of 3 Eagle Scouts!

Good job, Treagan.

This was the year for graduations in our family. Jimmy graduated from Medical School at Creighton University. Jimmy was also awarded the Humanitarian Service Award by the University. We are very proud of this great accomplishment. Jimmy and Carly have 5 more years of residency and they are happy to get their #1 pick which was Spokane, Washington. We are excited that they are only 7 hours away!

I have to say that the very first wonderful blessing and highlight of 2007 was Jacob returning from serving a mission to Milan, Italy on Jan. 5th, 2007. Jacob came home exhausted. He literally served with all his heart, mind and soul to the very last minute of his mission. We are so glad to have him home and so proud of his service as a missionary.

Brittany's Graduation from BYU-Idaho with her Sociology Degree was another great accomplishment. We are so proud of you Brittany!! We know that education is a launchpad for success in life. Brittany is using her degree to bless the lives of some children at the Children's Center in Salt Lake. These little children have already gone through alot of heart ache. The kids love Brittany and she loves them.

The Madison Bobcats winning the State Basketball Championship was another great highlight of 2007. Treagan Fullmer being one of the starting five and a major force behind the win made it even brighter! We have had so much enjoyment watching Treagan in his high school athletics. He had so much confidence and determination ( along with strength and skills!) . It was alot of fun to see the success that resulted.

Another milestone was when my husband turned 50! How is it possible that I am married to a 50 year old man? It seems like we were just married 10 years ago... when in actuality we are approaching our 28th wedding anniversary. I am so grateful for such a wonderful man as my husband, friend, partner and the great father of my children. I love you Rex!

One of the first highlights of 2007 was the birth of our first grandson, Austin James Fullmer to Ben and Aubrey. Austin was born Jan. 31st, 2007 and he has been a little more shy of Grandpa and Grandma than Brooklyn was but he is just starting to feel comfortable around us. We love his easy going nature. He is such a beautiful boy. It's neat to see how much he loves his big sister and he gets so excited when she pays attention to him.

Favorite Memories of 2007

I am excited to create my own blog. I've been enjoying my married childrens' blogs and I think it's a great way to keep updated on each others lives! To start I am going to highlight events from 2007.
